Initial Needs Assessments
ENTutor conduct an Initial Needs Assessment for every new and potential student, free of charge.
The process is casual, and the tutor will take notes during the session, and write a short diagnostic report for the student and their parents and guardians at the end.
The purpose of the assessment is to find out what the student needs, and whether the tutor is the right person for the student.
The tutor will ask a range of open-ended questions during the assessment, and listen very carefully to the student’s replies.
Parents and guardians are welcome to sit in at the assessment, and ask questions and contribute information, however students often prefer to speak to the tutor one-to-one without their parents or guardians taking part.
An initial needs assessment normally takes about 60 to 90 minutes, and can be booked in the same way as lessons.
